毎年３月～４月に行われるバリ ヒンドゥー教の新年にあたる宗教行事で、一日静かに瞑想し世の中の平和を神に祈る日です。ニュピ中は、空港も閉鎖され、車の運転も不可となりバリ全土で外出禁止となります。電気、火の使用も禁止され、会社関係や店鋪も全てお休みになります。観光客も含め、バリ島にいるすべての人々の外出が禁止されます。ホテルのチェックイン・チェックアウトもできませんので、ご注意ください。※ニュピは太陰暦であるサカ暦に沿って行われるので、年によって行われる日が違います。
